Prayer & Fasting

We pray and fast routinely because it is an important spiritual discipline. Fasting creates a prayer momentum and authority to break through in certain chosen areas. Together, we faithfully seek God first, trusting in His power alone to create lasting impact in our lives, our church, and our world. This year we believe it’s time to take ground.

The Bible says: “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” – 2 Corinthians 10:4

Fasting enables us to heighten our prayer focus. It is a weapon, together with prayer, that enables us to take ground. To fast and pray is to engage in a spiritual fight that advances our own discipleship growth, advances the kingdom and the cause of the Church.

In 2023 we will take ground. Be bold, take courage for the Lord is with us.

8 DAYS OF PRAYER IS FOR YOU

If you sense God has more for your life, 8 Days of Prayer is a great place to start believing Him for all that He has for you. As you practice seeking Him first, He will move on your behalf like never before. You will start to see the power of prayer impact your relationships, work, family, and every area of your life.

By making a decision to lean into God and give Him the first of your year, you can experience a fresh wind, new strength, and greater power as you embark on a new year. Here’s to 2023 being the best year yet!

If you’re new to fasting or just need some fresh reminders, we’ve provided some basic info and tips in the guide below to help you along the way. THREE WAYS TO JOIN IN

ONE CHURCH WORSHIP & PRAYER NIGHT

We will gather together across all locations on Sunday, January 23rd for a Worship & Prayer Night to end our fast with tapas, to worship together and celebrate communion.

PRAYER NIGHTS

During the fast each location will kick off with a prayer night in their location on the 16th of January to pray over our city, church, and nation.

16 January 7:30pm-8:30pm

Your location pastors will let you know where your night of prayer will be.

WALK THE CITY | GROUPS

We’re praying that we will not only see Jesus more in our own lives but that we will see him on every street and in every heart. During our 8 days of prayer and fasting some of the groups will gather to walk parts of our city and pray. Other groups might gather in a home and pray for the evening. Check with your group leader what your group has planned. If you’re not part of a group, now is a great time to join one! Check out all our groups on the church app.
